This consists of materials produced in Uganda, those published by Ugandans, as well as those on Uganda or for use in Uganda.

Africana

This is a collection of materials on the rest of Africa and with special reference to East Africa.

General Reference

Documents in this section consist of encyclopedias, dictionaries, directories, yearbooks, atlases and other materials of introductory nature to various subjects.

Special Collection

The library stocks collections in specific subject areas or by specific institutions and in special formats e.g.

• Material on library and information science
• Publications of the United Nations and other international organizations
• Newspapers, magazines and other serial publications
• Information in electronic format
