Coordination of these donations involve staff of the National Library of Uganda in selecting books for the beneficiaries basing on their information requests. These are later stamped and packed for dispatch.
Beneficiaries are selected basing on reports from verification visits done by NLU staff. The visits are made to ascertain whether the applicant has the requirements for starting a library i.e. room, furniture, shelves, personnel, environment in which the library is going to be set up, etc. Also on these visits, the applicants are briefed on what is expected of them, and given advice on what needs to be done.
